15-Year-Old Camper’s Body Found in River! Sheriff’s Revelation

A 15-year-old teenager in Washington state was discovered deceased in the Beckler River over the weekend, as reported by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. The body of the young boy was located and retrieved from the river at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Saturday following an extensive search operation conducted by the sheriff’s office, according to a statement posted on their Facebook page. The teenager had strayed from his group of friends around 3 a.m. and did not return, the sheriff’s office disclosed. The group had been camping above the snowline near the Beckler River, and the teenager was allegedly under the influence at the time of his disappearance, as per the sheriff’s office. The cause and manner of the teenager’s passing will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner, as stated by the sheriff’s office. USA TODAY reached out to the medical examiner’s office on Monday but did not receive an immediate response. The Beckler River Campground is recognized for its tranquil environment, located about ninety minutes away from Seattle. The nearest city to the campground is Skykomish, Washington, as indicated by the U.S. Forest Service.
