According to reports in the British media, a class action lawsuit will be filed today in the High Court over Uber's activities in the capital London between May 2012 and March 2018.
Around 11,000 taxi drivers claim that Uber misled public transport operator Transport for London about how it operates its taxi booking system and therefore breached private hire licensing rules.
Litigation management firm RGL Management said the drivers' claim is worth at least £250 million and each taxi driver will receive around £25,000.
