Doug McMillion, CEO of retail giant Walmart, earned more than $26.9 million last year, 976 times the salary of 2.1 million workers.

According to the news in Sözcü, the company noted in documents filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that CEO McMillion received a salary of more than $ 26.9 million in 2023, an increase of $ 1.6 million compared to the previous year.

By comparison, Target CEO Brian Cornell's most recently announced compensation package was $17.6 million, while Craig Jelinek earned $16.8 million in his final year as Costco CEO. CEOs at these companies were paid 680 and 336 times more than workers, respectively

McMillion's pay package included $1.5 million in base salary, $19.6 million in stock awards and $5.8 million in other compensation.
